ASPIRE CEO Manuel Campbell had a great connection meeting at the office with Deviré Robinson, Vice President of Philanthropic Advancement at Foundation for the Carolinas. ASPIRE is so grateful for and inspired by our budding relationship with Foundation For The Carolinas, Charlotte’s own community foundation with an amazing capacity to do good in our community.

ASPIRE attended Money Magnets Club’s BEST OF THE WEST Entrepreneurship Fest this month! Pictured here are two of the incredible entrepreneurs at the festival. It was a celebration, sharing information and support for local small businesses Charlotte’s West side. The day was filled with activities and workshops for all ages to learn about how to start, or grow a business! Money Magnets Club’s mission is to serve as a community that encourages entrepreneurship and financial literacy among elementary school kids and their responsible adults through education, exposure, and resources, to build generational wealth.
Shay Sharee is a Charlotte-based, self-taught artist who enjoys many different forms of art, from creative arts, to cooking, to performing arts. She currently produces paintings, jewelry, and sewn products. Her start in life as an army brat and her love of travel have exposed her to many different cultures, of which she takes influence for her art. Much of her jewelry and sewing has an ethnic vibe. Her paintings especially are geared toward showcasing black culture in a positive light as positive images of black people are not prevalent in main stream media. She believes that black people seeing images that reflect their skin tone and also promote life, love, beauty and empowerment have a great impact on one’s self image and confidence.
