ASPIRE Board Member Marcus Smith is SVP, Sr. Commercial Relationship Manager at Bank of America. He has over 27 years of diverse banking experience, including time in Consumer Branch leadership, Small Business Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Loan Workout & Commercial Real Estate. Marcus is a banker that focuses all his time on being consultative, strategic and a solutions-focused relationship banker.Marcus is a North Carolina native who has worked all across the State starting in Charlotte, to Wilmington and Greensboro, and back to Charlotte. He has been applauded by his clients for his ability to tailor solutions to meet their short and long term financial needs, both personal and business, while also helping them achieve profitable growth.Marcus has a Finance degree from UNC Charlotte and an MBA from Pfeiffer University. Marcus is involved in the community in various capacities, including UNC Charlotte Belk Alumni Council, UNC Charlotte Black Alumni Council, Charlotte Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Lake Norman Economic Development, in addition to his role at ASPIRE Community Capital.Marcus has been married to his wife Nicole (UNC Charlotte Alum) for 24 years and they have a son and daughter (Jordan & Alaia). In his spare time, Marcus likes to exercise, travel, and ride his motorcycle.
